Lexington VA Medical Center Influenza Vaccination Information
The Lexington VA Medical Center is offering influenza vaccination (the “flu shot”) to veterans this winter season.
We strongly urge people in the following groups to become vaccinated:
- Those at higher-risk for severe influenza illness:
- Veterans 50 years old or older
- Veterans younger than 50 with chronic illnesses or who will be pregnant during the flu season
- In addition, those who may spread influenza to higher-risk persons:
- Veterans who live with or care for children less than 5, adults 50 or older, or children or adults with chronic illnesses
For more information:
- Get your flu shot at the VA duing any visit to Cooper or Leestown now trough Spring 2009.
- The Flu Shot Drive Thru Clinic will be available at the Leestown Road Facility every Tuesday during the month of October. The clinic will open at 9:00 a.m. each Tuesday and close at 3:00 p.m.
