Situation Update

As of Wednesday, October 21, 2020 12:26 PM EDT

Situation Update:

Help reduce the risk of spreading the flu, COVID-19 (coronavirus) and other illnesses.

All Lexington VAHCS facilities, including the community clinics are open but with limited services. Please read the updated visitor and patient restrictions / guidelines below.

In an effort to reduce the impact of COVID-19 and other illnesses, we are asking patients, staff and visitors to help slow the spread of infection. All Veterans, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask when in any of our facilities.

Effective immediately, the following safeguards are in place:

If you become sick, stay home and call ahead to your clinic or VA facility before visiting.

Entrances are restricted at both locations in Lexington.
  •  Bowling Campus: From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans will only use the main entrance or enter from the parking garage for screening in the lobby. After hours the front desk will do the screening. Bowling Map
  •  Sousley Campus: From 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans will use the gate with the light to enter the campus. You will be directed to the right, and will be screened in Parking Lot I.   Sousley Map
    • Lextran Bus will drop off at Building 1, as usual, and ALL riders will be screened before entering the facility.
Veterans may change their appointments to a telehealth appointment. Please call your provider to ask if this is an option.

If telehealth is not available, providers may be able to do a telephone appointment.

Not all appointments will be ideal for telehealth or phone call, discuss with your provider if its the best option for you.
